INTEROP NYC 2012 – Technology is all about People

It’s INTEROP time. I have the pleasure of attending several IT conferences throughout the year and INTEROP NYC is next on the list. This INTEROP will be my first and I am looking forward to it. So what is INTEROP all about?

Interop is an independently organized conference and exhibition designed to empower information technology professionals to make smart business decisions. Interop offers a strong combination of educational content, a dynamic exhibition of technology providers, and peer networking to IT professionals across all industries, so that they can investigate and discover transformative technologies and ideas to put to work across their enterprise.

Being an Independent event drives value and high level executives to INTEROP events all across the world. The message is not pre-staged and 90% of the presenters and keynote sessions are not delivered by individuals from the same company.  As the Glen Evans states in the The Hotstage Post – #Interop, “Technology does not happen without people. Our team of volunteers provide the expertise and dedication needed to put technology into action. The InteropNet is where technology and people come together”. While attending the HP GPC 2012 earlier this year, I had the chance to attend David Nour’s keynote “What is the real value of business relationships?” He states that the rest of the world (except US) build relationships first before doing business. Our fast pace society makes us forget about the relationship and the person behind the product. In North America it is typically all about Price, Price and Price. So if your attending INTEROP this week, make sure to browse the Exhibitor Center and don’t be surprised if you see several high level executives answering questions and building relationships.

Back to the technology…INTEROP has a very interesting lineup of sponsors showcasing their technology in NYC and the 1Cloudroad team will make sure to share all the breaking news, interesting discussions and conference photos. Follow 1Cloudroad via your favorite social network or visit the Industry Buzz Section throughout the week!

PS. INTEROP will be streaming the Key Note Sessions for those who can’t attend -
