HP’s BIG Storage announcement at HP Discover!

Legacy storage designed for 20 years ago cannot adapt to virtual, cloud, and big data demands. With that introduction I would like to review HP’s Storage announcement scheduled for December 3rd at HP Discover in Frankfurt, Germany.

Currently legacy storage architecture is not sustainable. According to HP’s video “Is your file-based storage ready for the next era of IT?” , your enterprise data will roughly double every two years.  Consequently, something has to change and HP plans to be the driving force behind that change.

HP will addressing the changes necessary in storage architecture by discussing 3 key storage-related problems affecting just about everyone:

  • Primary storage
  • Information retention & analysis
  • Information protection & security

Join Us and HP on December 3rd, when HP Converged Storage changes everything.

For those of us who are social and want to join the conversation and engage further on the topic, I suggest visiting HP’s Calvin Zito -  Around the Storage Block blog or join the HP Storage LinkedIn group. Below are a couple of pre-event videos geared around the announcement;
